Purpose for processing your data

We process your personal data in order to be able to pay remuneration to the courier and fulfill the obligations of the legal agreement.  We also process your personal data to fulfill the obligations of other projects and agreements with our business partners/clients.

Legal basis: Contract performance

Location services

The mobile app collects, provides, and processes location, only if the user is logged in and has started shift, or active time frame.

When performing services as a courier, DODO needs permission to access location services through the permission system used by the mobile operating system or browser. We may collect the precise location of the device when the Gaia Courier App is running in the foreground or background. The location tracking feature must be enabled through the settings of the mobile device, or when notified by the mobile app. If location feature is disabled in the device settings, or the GPS is turned off in the mobile device, we will not receive precise location information. This will prevent the courier from being able to start tasks and
would lead to a breach of contractual obligations.

Legal basis: Contract performance

We process personal data in order to communicate with the courier, to maintain safety measures, and to ensure compliance with the service agreement between the courier and DODO.
We may also process location data if we have a legitimate reason to do so for verifying your missions status and to provide this information to our business partners for customer support purposes.

We don’t process localization data if the user is logged out of the Gaia App, or has no active shift, or active time frame (Courier is available).

Legal basis: Contract performance

Other personal data

We collect and process personal data so that we can administer and fulfil our legal obligations. This includes data processed for complying with our bookkeeping obligations, and providing information to relevant authorities, such as tax authorities, for example.

Legal basis: Legal obligations

We may also process personal data in relation to claims handling, authority investigations, debt collection, and legal processes.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest

DODO may process all  data, including pickup and drop-off location collected during courier performance of deliveries and pick-ups, for solving customer complaints and responding to safety incidents that relate to a breach of the service agreement between us and the courier,, or a breach of law.
When processing the courier’s data, such as pickup and/or drop-off locations, we ensure and take care  of the right to privacy. We use anonymized or non-personally identifiable data when possible. DODO will also process personal data to ensure compliance with the agreement between any company with the right to use DODO brand, and the courier.

Any photographs taken in the application or uploaded by the courier to any part of application, will be processed and used. For example: Part of the legal cooperation with a courier includes the responsibility to take a photo of the vehicle they are using to transport deliveries, and upload it into the app. Furthermore, in the case of any incident or accident, photo documentation is required and protects both sides of any contract.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest and Contract performance

DODO may also process information about the courier’s application usage to analyze any trends in the use. This data could be presented to our business partners. When possible, DODO will do this by using only aggregated, non-personally identifiable data.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest

While we don’t normally use such data to identify the courier as an individual, they can sometimes be recognized from it, either alone or when combined or linked with user data. In such situations, technical data can also be considered personal data under applicable laws, and we will treat such data as personal data.

Tasks are matched to the courier by finding missions and quests which are valid in terms of effectivity based predefined parameters. Couriers are anonymized in connection to the automated decision-making and the mission assignments are based solely on the location, mission destination locations, vehicle type and its capacity.

5. Storage period

The storage period depends on the nature of the information and the purposes of processing. The maximum period may therefore vary per use.
